I know of no Adobe-announced support for that platform, true, but I don't know the XBox architecture well enough to assume that a codechange would be necessary.

The reports are interesting, but last time I read them I did not hear of anyone specifying recipes that others had succesfully followed... the above links were the closest to source observations I found.

John, don't really have to read through the lines to get the hint, and assume MM (err, strike that) Adobe has not done this port of the Flash Player for M$ ? ;0) Reading further down those threads there are people stating they have stuff up and running.

I don't have any specific information on this, but I just confirmed with search term "xbox operating system" that the console runs a stripped-down Win2K system. But searches on term "xbox activex" don't seem to turn up relevant links.

That's an interesting paragraph from the 53-comment member named "Arakon": "the live arcade games are nothing but standard flash games.. in fact, you can run hexic right in your browser. however replacing the hexic flash files with another swf file results in the 360 crashing hard (only power off helps)"

Here are some more SWF-specific links further down in that discussion:

In reading these, I see assertions but not corroborations... hasn't been proven reproducible yet.

I don't recall XBox/Flash announcements, and don't see the XBox listed here:

Thanks for the lead, Ralph! :)
